The University of South Carolina School of Music offers a wide variety of activities for the University bandsman. You do not have to be a music major to participate! The Carolina Bands' special units and ensembles include members from all schools and colleges on campus. Since students' spare time is limited, we believe in holding only three or four organized, hard-working rehearsals per week to attain a high degree of excellence. A block of time has been set aside for Carolina Band rehearsals to allow for a minimum of conflicts with other classes. We invite you to be a part of the action as a member of the Carolina Marching Band, "The Mighty Sound of the Southeast." The following information will help to explain the opportunities that await you! RETURN TO TOP USC LINKS: DIRECTORY MAP EVENTS VIP ... uscbands@mozart.sc.edu

I really don't know if this will ever get updated...we'll see. I don't want to make any promises I can't keep. Keep in mind that this is written largely with a HIGH SCHOOL band in mind (I'd say 98% of the stuff on this test happened to me or someone I knew in high school). Have fun. What's this?
Chip De Stefano has established himself as one of the premier marching band arrangers in the United States. Having received commissions from high school and college marching bands from throughout the country, Mr. De Stefano's arrangements receive numerous performances each year. Why hire an arranger? Custom arrangements set your band apart from others using stock arrangments. Having music specifically arranged for your ensemble assures that the work will bring out the strengths and hide any weaknesses, or instrumentation issues, of your group. Why hire Chip De Stefano as your arranger?
