Kuala Lumpur , the capital city, is the largest federal territory, there are two others, Labuan and Putrajaya Climate Malaysia's climate is hot and humid all year round, with plenty of sunshine and rainfall all year round. Temperatures are usually between 20-30°C (68-86°F) with humidity of 90%. The East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia experiences more rain season than the other regions. The wettest season on the West Coast of the Peninsula is between September and December, on the East Coast and in Sabah and Sarawak, is between October and February. Rain often comes in short, strong bursts and is usually seasonal. People Malaysia has a combined population of over 19.9 million people. Because of its central location, Malaysia has traditionally been a meeting point for traders and travelers from both the East and West. As a result, Malaysia has a multicultural and multiracial population consisting of Malays, Chinese, Indians and numerous indigenous and aboriginal peoples. The Orang Asli are the aboriginal people of Peninsular Malaysia, with an estimated population of over 60,000 and who, for the most part, still lead a simple yet fascinating lifestyle.

It has a total area of 14 million sq km and is one and a half times larger than the size of United States, twice the size of Australia and 42 times larger than Malaysia's land and water combined. It has the highest average elevation continent on Earth at 2,160 meter (7,100 feet), maki ng it about 1,000 meter higher than the global average land height. The South Pole itself resides on the high Polar Plateau - 2,835 meters above sea level. Antartica is the most isolated place in the world and was recently found in early 19th century. It rotates around the South Pole, the most southernly point on the Earth's rotational axis . About 98% of the continent is covered in continental ice sheet while 2% is barren rocks and mountain parts that jut up in the glacier or the ice, better known by the Inuit people as nunataks. The average thickness of the ice sheet on Antarctica is 2.3km (1.5 miles). The thickest ice sheet can be found at Wilkes Land - where it reaches a depth of 4,776 meters (15,669 feet). Where is Antarctica from Malaysia?

Rationale
Geography allows students to orientate themselves in the wider world. It shows how the physical structure of earth has come into being and assesses the degree of respect humans show in their interaction with this environment at different levels. Geography allows students to think about and assess the impact of human societies in their localised physical environment. Linkage and integration of Human with Physical aspects of Geography are a fundamental learning feature of the course, drawing upon case examples and field study in Malaysia and neighboring countries, whilst striving to offer perspectives from all 7 continents. Student input from their home countries is therefore welcomed and encouraged throughout the course. Aims
1. Students to continue to build upon their knowledge of places, processes and systems. General geographical knowledge should be integrated with opinions regarding actions and policies on a regional, national and international level.
