After graduating from Dartmouth College with degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy, he spent 2 years as a Programmer/Analyst for a small software house. Then he spent several years with Digital Equipment Corporation in the corporate software support group. In his early years with that company, he assisted clients world-wide such as Alcoa, Kodak, Polaroid, NASA, Singapore Telecoms, and the Irish Department of Agriculture in their efforts to develop and maintain database information systems. He won several Excellence Awards for his efforts.
