Abstract
Errors of fact, design, and interpretation abound in the medical literature on guns and violence. The peer review process has failed to prevent publication of the errors of politicized, results-oriented research. Most of the data on guns and violence are available in the criminological, legal, and social sciences literature, yet escapes acknowledgment or analysis of the medical literature. Lobbyists and other partisans continue to promulgate the fallacies that cloud the public debate and impede the development of effective strategies to reduce violence in our society. This article examines a representative sample of politicized and incompetent research. Next Section Introduction

Latin Literature in Christianity (Sixth to Twentieth Century)
During the Middle Ages the so-called church Latin was to a great extent the language of poetry, and it was only on the advent of the Renaissance that classical Latin revived and flourished in the writings of the neo-Latinists as it does even today though to a more modest extent. To present to the reader an account of Latin poetry in a manner at once methodical and clear is not an easy task; a strict adherence to chronology interferes with clearness of treatment, and an arrangement according to the different kinds of poetry would demand a repeated handling of some of the poets. However, the latter method is preferable because it enables us to trace the historical development of this literature. A. The Latin Drama Both in its inception and its subsequent development Latin dramatic poetry displays a peculiar character. "In no domain of literature", says W. Creizenach in the opening sentence of his well-known work on the history of the drama "do the Middle Ages show so complete a suspension of the tradition of classical antiquity as in the drama." Terence was indeed read and taught in the schools of the

by Rodney Sell I seriously started collecting Hong Kong coins in 1975 and immediately tried to find good reference books. There did not appear to be any available and I had difficulty obtaining information on any books that had been published. I have since discovered that the first catalogue to be published on Hong Kong Currency was by my friend Antonio B. de Sousa who now lives in Melbourne Australia. It has taken me till August 1997 to get a copy of this catalogue which is shown amongst the items listed below. The standard references of World Coins and World Paper Money both by Krause Publications are a good starting point for the Currency of Hong Kong. The Ma and Tan catalogues are now updated and published every year with information on new coins issued and the retail price in several grades. Each September since 1991 there has been a coin fair and auction in Hong Kong run by Taisei. The auctions were originally run with Spinks and Son. In 1994 Spinks were purchased by Christies who's policy is to run their own auctions. The Taisei auctions since 1994 have been with Baldwin's and Gillio Auctions. Since 1994 Spink's have run their own auction in Hong Kong in November. Should any reader wish further information on any of these publication I can be reached at Rod.Sell@hlos.com.au

LARP is something you may have heard called Interactive Literature, Freeform, LRP, Live Action Roleplaying Game, or any similar term. We use the term LARP because it is the most common term in use today. We do not intend to exclude any one type of event. Our focus is on the interactive aspect of games, rather than the rules or setting. So games that involve the interactive creation of a story are the sort that we are primarily working to promote, whether they have item cards, costuming, padded weapons, or none of these.
