The Biology Corner is a resource site for biology and science teachers. The Lesson Plans sections contains classroom activities, labs and worksheets, feel free to change any of these to suit your own classroom needs. The Webquest sections contains inquiry based projects that utilize the internet. Internet lessons (also called miniquests) are smaller activities that use one or two science related web sites for the students to explore and answer questions about. Again, feel free to modify these activities so that they work for your class and your style of teaching. I've been making it a personal mission to locate and compile interactive science education sites. Some web programs like Flash can create some amazing virtual labs that students can really benefit from. You will find many of these places in the section under internet lessons, all of which utilize fantastic websites to help students understand scientific concepts. Please contact me if you know of other sites (particularly shockwave virtual labs) and I'll add more lessons. Answer keys are not included, due to the fact my students use this site.

Our original lesson plans are developed by Thirteen Ed Online Master Teachers. Starting with tried-and-true lessons that work in the classroom, our Web-savvy teachers have built Web-based activities that use the rich resources of Thirteen/WNET New York and the Internet.
Each month, we will create new lessons based upon outstanding PBS series and around outstanding Web resources.

Hank Williams: My Inspiration
In this lesson, students will watch the AMERICAN MASTERS episode "Hank Williams: Honky Tonk Blues" and use what they learn to help analyze some of his most popular songs. Students will discuss whether or not they feel they can understand an artist through his writing. Finally, students will use Williams's methods of inspiration to pen their own lyrics or poetry.
Exploring "Heroism"
In honor of the heroes of September 11th, students will explore the concept of "heroism" in this lesson, through personal reflection, group activities and a thoughtful analysis of Thirteen's documentary, HEROES OF GROUND ZERO. Students will use different forms of writing, various artistic media and computer software to create a group presentation on the theme of "heroism." Design A Community Program This lesson, inspired by the work of the Center for Family Life in A BROOKLYN FAMILY TALE, lets students design an innovative community program to address the needs of their community.

Welcome to Teachit's library of free English teaching resources Come and join us. You know you want to :-)
Whenever we ask you for feedback about Teachit the same words come up again and again:  practical, useful, accessible, relevant, organised, comprehensive, up to date, supportive.  I’m really proud that we’ve been living up to this list and saving you time for all the other important things in life.  Whether you’re into wasp tickling, salt stacking, dust bunny sculpting (all genuine - they’re on Google!) or just want a bit of time for you we hope we can help. But no matter how many resources on offer we all know that it can be nigh on impossible to find the perfect worksheet for a particular class / teacher / objective / context.  It doesn’t take a genius to realise that the task that works perfectly for, let’s say, 10A first thing on Monday may not go down so well with 11D last lesson on Friday, particularly if you’ve tried to join the normal people on Thursday and go out – on a school night!  And, for many of us, creating or adapting the materials is a vital part of the planning process; as anyone who has attempted to teach a cover lesson using someone else’s resource can testify, these things can, and should, be personal.  Join Teachit.plus as an individual online now
