ph. 202-588-0302 A Letter to Our Supporters GOALS:
  • Protect stock markets from manipulation Protect employees, consumers, pensioners and investors from stock losses caused by abusive litigation Encourage regulatory oversight of plaintiffs' bar within securities industry Restore investor confidence through judicial and regulatory reform
Click Here to go to the Investor Protection Program. LATEST LITIGATION: In re Kensington International Limited Riverdale Mills Corp. v. United States On March 17, 2004, a federal judge in Massachusetts handed WLF a major victory when it denied the federal government's motion to dismiss WLF's malicious prosecution lawsuit against two Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) agents for violating a company's civil rights. The ruling in favor of WLF's clients means that the case can proceed to trial. WLF's lawsuit arises in the aftermath of a failed criminal prosecution against Riverdale Mills Corp. and its owner, based on alleged violations of the Clean Water Act. The charges were dropped after a court found that EPA agents had forged evidence. In the ensuing civil suit, Riverdale and its owner allege that the defendants engaged in selective prosecution and violated their Fourth Amendment rights to be protected from unreasonable searches and seizures.
