When the Germans left Paris, after defeat, they did not do any harm to the city. On the contrary, Saddam had devastated Kuwait. On February 15, 1993, the Egyptian October magazine published an interview by Salah Montaser, the Editor in Chief, with His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah . His Highness said that US president George Bush, Secretary of State James Baker and French president Francois Mitterand asked him in a meeting about the character of Saddam Hussein. They asked whether he is the same as Hitler. His Highness replied that Hitler had one single aim, which was to have France under the control of Germany. When he failed to do that, he committed suicide because he had enough courage to do so. In the case of Saddam, he believes that he, and not Iraq, is above the world.
