The Korean Language Program (KLP) of the SNU Language Education Institute (LEI) is designed to provide intensive Korean language training to foreign students who have been admitted to a university in Korea, foreign scholars or other foreigners who intend to study Korean and to learn about Korea. Each year more than 500 students, professionals, and others study at the SNU Language Education Institute to improve their ability to communicate in Korean. Sessions
The program offers four 10-week sessions per calendar year. Students may begin their program of study in any session. Each session begins on the first Monday of the month stated and is preceded by a set of placement tests. Students are required to take the written and oral tests after completing registration.

YBM/Si-sa develops and administers tests of aptitude for foreign languages, such as TOEIC, TOEIC Bridge, SEPT, EEPA, and JPT, and the company has an exclusive license to publish disclosed TOEIC and TOEFL materials. TOEIC, being used by 5,000 institutes in 60 countries all over the world, has 2 million applicants only in Korea each year. In addition, YBM/Si-sa's professional test development staff prepare a variety of tests for use in Korean schools, universities, and institutions, measuring all four language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
