82. Bernd Van De Weteringh
An introduction to the concept of vocal jazz, it's origin, how it is written and why it differs so much from all the other types of music you generally hear.
http://www.bvdw.nl/index.htm
"Swing Choir" in Nederland.

Jazz and Ragtime Music Page The purpose of this page is to provide a small sample of high quality MIDI files of songs by my personal musical heroes. A few of them were sequenced by me, others I found and collected here. Also, my school has required a few research papers, which I chose to write about musical topics. Keep coming back, and look for my selections. Papers: Glenn Miller A biography of the band leader with MIDI files of his best songs. Already a Glenn Miller expert? Try the QUIZ. Invisible Piano Players : A history of the player piano. MIDI Only: Scott Joplin Count Basie Duke Ellington Classical ... Others: I don't have enough to make a seperate category yet... Christmas Music: These are not the most traditional forms of the carols... I will try to update this list frequently whenever I find/write more midi files, or write more related papers (mostly for school projects, that are usually graded by the teacher and never seen again ... so I will post them here and you can look at them.) [Styles] [Artists] [Performance] [Media] ... [Other Resources] This chart of Jazz Styles is derived from Joachim Berendt's The Jazz Book . This book is indispensible to any person seeking a comprehensive survey of the history of Jazz. Berendt masterfully covers the evolution of this complex music from several parallel perspectives, helping readers absorb history from more than one direction. This structure also makes the book a pleasure to browse. I have adapted the map somewhat to include more specifically some genres of music. Please maintain healthy skepticism towards this two-dimensional representation of a thoroughly three-dimensional culture. Some things that are quite important may not be on this map, and some things that are relatively less important may be, merely by whims of geometry.
