42. Introduction To Basic Computers
Basically, you can update your bios, but the other chips are in have the fastest chipsets, and they were the inventors of the Its general characteristics are
http://www.footefamily.org/train/chipset.htm
MOTHERBOARD CHIPSET The "Chipset" is the set of components that control most of the activities that take place on the motherboard, and interfaces most of the parts of the motherboard. There are several discussions of chipsets on the WWW. I have found the Web site at "www.sysdoc.pair.com" which is "Tom's Hardware Guide" to be very useful. First, the "chipset" is more than just the BIOS and the CPU. In fact, the CPU is not actually part of the CHIP set, but the chipset specifies what components the system will support. Among them are:
  • The type and number of CPU slots.
  • Size and type of L2 cache.
  • Type of DRAM you can use.
  • Amount of DRAM.
  • DRAM Error Correction Code
  • Universal Serial Bus support
  • PCI Specifications
  • and more .... So, what can you do about the chipset you have in your computer. Nothing. Basically, you can update your BIOS, but the other chips are in the "you are stuck with what you got" category. What you need to be concerned with is "what chipset is on the motherboard of the new computers we are buying?". There are several manufacturers of chipsets and I will include a little information (and opinions) about some of the chipsets. Intel is the best known manufacturer of processors and chipsets, but VIA, SIS, UMC, and ALI also manufacturer superior chipsets. Intel has the "leg-up" on most other manufacturers because they have the fastest chipsets, and they were the inventors of the "Universal Serial Bus (USB)" and the "Advanced Graphics Bus (AGP)"

Inventors Elijah McCoy Earl Warrick W.K. Kellogg Elijah McCoy Elijah McCoy was a famous inventor. He was an African American Man. His parents were slaves who escaped on the Underground Railroad. He went to Scotland to study mechanical engineering. He moved to Michigan and he worked as an oilman and fireman. He had to oil the wheels when the train stopped, and shovel coal into the fire to make the train run. Elijah McCoy was treated unfairly because of the color of his skin. He used his engineering skills to invent the lubricator for the train's wheels. He also invented the ironing board, a better heel for shoes, and the water sprinkler. Today people still ask for the "Real McCoy" when they want the best. Written by second and third grade students in Room 6, Spartan Village School, East Lansing This report is about Earl Warrick He is a very famous person, but not a lot of people know about him. And so know I will tell you about Earl Warrick, who lived in
    Midland, Michigan, a great person.

Team Bios Irregulars Bios Discussion Board ... Archive Bravo Origin : Real name:Jason Weatherby. Born: December 1st 1983. The grandson of former soldier and UK superhero, Robert Weatherby, aka: The Logician. The Logician was a member of the WW2 UK superhero team, The Banner. His body was artificially changed by genetic tampering, his main powers included Super Intelligence and Mental Telepathy. It was discovered when the grandchild, Jason was 8 years old that he had inherited the scientifically altered genetic structure of his grandfather but was affected by it in a different way. During his time with the Great British Team, he met a young girl, a fellow gymnast named Sarah Chapman from Liverpool. Being the same age and in America for the first time, they spent a lot of time together and began to date one another. One evening, walking back to their hotel, they were attacked by vicious street thugs who were led by a masked villain. Both Sarah and Jason managed to dispatch their attackers but then the masked man stepped forth. This super-villain shot some kind of plasma beam from his hands that struck Sarah, knocking her to the ground. Jason managed to dodge several beams aimed in his direction before being struck in the chest and knocked unconscious.
