Each partner has their own individual reasons for creating the curriculum: Arctic Refuge wants to provide a comprehensive environmental education package for visitors that highlights the natural resources of the Refuge. Since most "visitation" occurs over the web, the Refuge wishes to create an environmental education program that is available to a world audience via the web. Fairbanks North Star Borough School District wishes to improve students' comprehension of math and science.
