164. HorseSchools.Com -- Dedicated To Helping People Who Want To Pursue A Career In T
Devoted to helping individuals who wish to pursue a career with horses find the school that best suits them. Searchable database to rank schools on a number of relevant criteria. United States.
http://www.horseschools.com/
This site is dedicated to helping individuals who wish to pursue a career in the equestrian industry. The site mainly deals with schools with equine science programs, but there is also a list of schools with equestrian programs other than equine science. Equine science schools included on the site can be sorted according to several different criteria, and each school has a page that lists all the statistics on their program. Before looking through the different schools, you may find it helpful to read The Paper Chase , an article written to help people who want to pursue a career with horses decide what school would best fit their needs. The article also has a checklist which can aid in assessing a school's equestrian program. There is also a list of articles dealing with equestrian education on the links page When you have an idea of what type of program you are interested in, browse the rest of the site to find a school that best suits you. Note: this site does not endorse any schools, it is just meant to be used as an aid in locating and sorting through the numerous schools offering equine science programs around the globe. Many important aspects of a school's equestrian program such as the quality of instruction, reputation, etc. are not included on this site because of the difficulty in collecting and quantifying this type of data. Use this site as a tool to help you find schools that you feel are suited to your needs. Then do your own research on those schools by visiting the school's web site, requesting information from them about their program, tour their campus, and talk to people who have been through their program.
