The 2003 Distinguished Service honorees included Larry and Elizabeth Boulet of Indianapolis; H. Peter Hudson of Zionsville, Ind.; and Norman and Linda Pellegrini of Windmere, Fla. Larry and Elizabeth Boulet Larry and Elizabeth "Buffy" Boulet’s most significant contribution to Indiana State may have been their establishment of the Boulet President’s Scholarship in 2003 as part of the Lilly Challenge. However, they have been active supporters of the university throughout the years, frequently volunteering their time and financial support to a diverse number of activities. Larry graduated from Indiana State with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1974. After graduation Larry maintained his ties to the university and became an active member of Alumni Council and was an Alumni/Admissions volunteer working to inform and recruit students to his alma mater. With black and white schoolchildren among the hundreds in attendance at the ceremony in the Statehouse Rotunda, State Rep. William Crawford called the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education ruling one of the defining moments of the civil rights movement.
