Raise your hand and tell what you think they are. Hinteach of the regions has a landform name. Objective: SWBAT tell what the three regions of Idaho are and show where they are located on a map. They will make a model of the three regions of Idaho using different colored beans for the border and each of the regions. Input: The students will read in partners out of their regions book in social studies what a basin and a plateau are. We will discuss as a class what the definition of each one is, what it would look like, and where in Idaho we might find this. Have the students relate the seat of the chair to the basin and plateau. Have the students look at the seat they are sitting in and tell how the seat is like a basin and a plateau. Write their responses on the board. Show the students a map of where each of the three regions of Idaho is located. Talk about what each of these areas would look like.
