Private In-State, Out-of-State, Non-Accredited Institutions, and Other Educational Source Offerings
Section 33-107(6) , Idaho Code, authorizes the State Board of Education to maintain a register of courses and programs offered anywhere in the state of Idaho by degree-granting postsecondary institutions which are located outside the state and are offering courses or programs for academic credit or located within the state of Idaho but are not accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the Board and are offering a course(s) or program(s) for academic credit. In addition, Chapter 24, Title 33 , Idaho Code, establishes requirements for registration, agent's permit, purchase statement, surety bond and student recovery account for educational entities not exempt from For the purposes of Idaho Code Section 33-107(6) , the Idaho State Board of Education recognizes the following accrediting agencies: An in-state institution (one that is physically located in Idaho) that is accredited by one of the six regional accreditation agencies listed above, or a national, professional, or specialized accrediting body that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, is exempt from registering with the Board office.

Mission Statement
The Region X Comprehensive Center (CC) at NWREL is part of a nationwide network of 15 technical assistance centers established by the U.S. Department of Education . The CC network provides training, technical assistance, and research-based information to high-poverty, low-performing schools and districts, Bureau of Indian Affairs schools, and No Child Left Behind Act grant recipients that are implementing comprehensive, whole-school reform measures. At the Region X Comprehensive Center, we work closely with the state education departments of Idaho Montana Oregon Washington , and Wyoming , as well as with intermediate educational service agencies, local school districts, and other agencies within the region that are involved in educational reform and improvement. Our mission is to enhance the capacity of these departments and agencies to ensure that every child in the region has equal access to the highest quality education and an opportunity to meet challenging content and performance standards. S E C T I O N S The Idaho Migrant Council, Inc., provides employment and training services for low income families and low income migrant and seasonal farmworkers, primarily of Hispanic background. The primary service goal is to better the lives of low-income individuals and families, and to advocate for migrant / seasonal farm workers.
  • The Council pays for tuition, books, stipends and supportive services for vocational training at colleges, universities or technical schools. Vocational English as a Second Language training offered in our own centers and/or assistance to enroll in other local ESL or GED classes. On the Job Training opportunities with private employers, with IMC reimbursing up to half of the trainee's wages. Paid work experience with public or nonprofit employers for trainees with no office experience.
  • Jobs for Farm Workers On-The-Job Training
    A joint effort with the employer and the IMC to assist individuals with on-the-job training. Employer is eligible to receive up to 50% reimbursement of the training Classroom Training
    Program assistance for Vocational Schooling – Extended Education – Custom Training – Basic Skills i.e. GED or ESL.

A great way to keep up with forthcoming grant opportunities is to watch your state's current legislative activities. If your state has a State Register, announcements for Requests for Proposal are published on a weekly basis (in Texas).
