I recently created a simple HTML editor that many beginners may find useful. It allows you to type in HTML on one side of the screen and preview it on the other side. You don't have to save your file onto your hard drive to preview it in your browsermaking it a nice tool to explore the basics of HTML with.

Form structure
The form elements: <FORM ACTION="mailto:ice_box@cornell.edu" METHOD=POST> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="text_field"> <BR><INPUT TYPE="Submit" VALUE="Submit"> </FORM>
So the FORM tags tells the browser, where it ends and begins.
The ACTION tag tells the browse where to send the information to.
The METHOD is either POST or GET POST is when you are doing an ACTION that is "permanent", e.g. sending e-mail. GET is when you are doing something that does not change the state of the world or anything else, e.g. doing a search on a database.
Next you have your fields where people enter data and submit it or clear it.
Writing a simple form
The form we use needs the following fields and looks like this:
