There is a lot easier way to view fonts, than physical opening each one, or brief viewing in Microsoft Word. Advanced Font Viewer is a program with the user-friendly interface that allows simultaneous viewing of all fonts installed on a system. An example text for each font is displayed alongside. The program allows managing and printing your fonts as well. Free lifetime upgrades.
How to choose a better font? The quality of your work with text and graphics in many respects depends on the fonts you use. It is not that easy to choose an appropriate font, as it seems at first sight. Most programs have quite scant resources for font choice, or do not have them at all. You have to browse the fonts separately or use a list of typeface variants, which is usually quite poor, as it is, for example, in MS Word.

Putting it Together
Introduction Why Study RPS?
RPS is gaming at its most basic, its most fundamental. Take anything away, and it ceases to be a game at all. Every other game, at some level, contains RPS. Like chess or fencing, the rules are simple, but the game itself is as complex as the mind of your opponent.
Studying Your Opponent
The Role of a Trainer
The Three Throws Equal but Not Equal

On the surface, RPS appears to be a game of chance. After all, according to the rules, each throw is equal, right? Each defeats one other throw and loses to one other throw. Perhaps to a computer the throws actually are equal. To the human mind, that is seldom the case. Whether because of associations with the symbols or the hand positions that represent them, players perceive the three throws to have distinct characteristics. These vary from player to player, but generally fall into some common patterns. The Character of Rock
Rock, represented by a closed fist, is commonly perceived as the most aggressive throw. It taps into memories of fist fights, tall and unmoving mountains, rugged boulders and the stone ax of the caveman. Without realizing it, most players think of Rock as a weapon and will fall back on it for protection when other strategies appear to be failing. The Character of Scissors Scissors are a tool. As children, we use them to cut construction paper for craft projects. As adults, we may cut cloth for clothing or use scissors to open plastic packaging. Scissors are associated with industry, craft work, making things. There is still a certain amount of aggression associated with scissors; they are, after all, sharp and dangerous implements. Scissors, however, represent aggression that is controlled, contained, re-channeled into something constructive. In RPS, scissors are often perceived as a clever or crafty throw, a well-planned outflanking maneuver. As such, players are more likely to use scissors when they are confident or winning.

Transparent Backgrounds for Images
Many images look better if their background color matches browser window Image appears to float in window Could change background color of image BUT ... some browsers set their own background color Best Solution Create image with one color as "transparent" Tells browser to use background color for those color pixels in image Image manipulation software (for example, Photoshop) can be used to select one color and mark it as "transparent" Image with Red Background Image with Transparent Red Background Works well with GIF and PNG images JPEG does not support transparent pixels because of the way it stores and uses pixel colors Only choice in JPEG is to simulate transparency

Basic HTML
Adding a touch of style

, 29th August 2000. Having mastered the basics, it is time to move on to more advanced features. The following will teach you how to:
  • force line breaks introduce non-breaking spaces use entities for special characters link into the middle of pages use preformatted text flow text around images define clickable regions within images create tables use roll-overs and other tricks
p.s. I recommend you use HTML Tidy to keep your markup clean and free of errors.
How to force line breaks
Just occasionally, you will want to force a line break. You do this using the br element, for example when you want to include a postal address: The br empty elements.
How to introduce non-breaking spaces
Browsers automatically wrap text to fit within the margins. Line breaks can be introduced wherever space characters appear in the markup. Sometimes you will want to prevent the browser from wrapping text between two particular words. For instance between two words in a brand name such as "Coca Cola". The trick is to use in place of the space character, for example:

By Brian Wilson Last Update: Oct. 1 2003
Welcome to the last technical resource on HTML and CSS you may ever need. These sites attempt to collect as much information as possible in one location about the HTML and CSS languages, the popular browsers that support them, and the histories behind each. The site evolves along with the specifications and browsers that it documents - it began as a simple reference on the HTML language, but its purpose has grown as the languages and browsers it covers have evolved in popularity and complexity.
The site aims to be a practical reference resource for authors, concentrating on features that have been implemented in currently popular web browsers. Those features not in wide use will not often be of as great a concern to an author. This resource tries not to be judgmental about the use of various language constructs - most have their positive AND negative sides. Presenting the language's factual and historical information in a (hopefully) neutral manner should make an author's choice of features and capabilities a more informed one. YOU , the author, must decide what features will work best for a given situation.
