For more information about entrance fees and opening hours of the museums, check out this Brussels Museums Portal The City museum is situated in the King's House on the Grand'place of Brussels. In 1884 Brussels decided to open a museum about the rich past of the city. It was the mayor of Brussels, Mr. Karel BULS , who was the driving force behind this creation. The museum opened its doors to the public in 1887 . The beginnings were modest. The rather small collection was housed on the second floor of the building. During the course of the years, however, the collection continued to grow thanks to different legacies. A plan to use the entire building for the city museum collection in 1935 was interrupted during World War II, when the occupants claimed the building for the city administration. Finally, in 1960, the King's House was entirely transformed into the city museum. Above : The wedding procession ( 1560's ?)- attributed to Pieter Bruegel the elder

The Natural History Museum and Desert Park is a venue that provides people with a chance to learn about the flora and fauna of the arabian desert, while at the same time having a relaxing and fun time. If people get to know the great variety of plants and animals and the amazing ways in which these have adapted to life in a dry, hot climate, they will start to respect and enjoy these gifts of nature. A children's farm was opened in May 1997 to provide city children with a chance to have close contact with farm animals. A Breeding Centre for Endangered Arabian Animal started functioning in February 1998, but this is not open to the general public, because animals need peace and quiet to breed. Towards the end of 1998 the Arabian Wildlife Center will be opened where people can observe and enjoy all the various species of animals that occur on the Arabian peninsula. In accordance with the concept launched by His Highness, the Desert Park with its various departments will be a center for learning and enjoyment for people of all ages, as well as a place where original research can be carried out by the next generation of students.

Museum of Chinese in the Americas
The Museum of Chinese in the Americas (MoCA) is the first full-time professionally staffed museum dedicated to reclaiming, preserving, and interpreting the history and culture of Chinese and their descendants in the Western Hemisphere. Founded in 1980 as the New York Chinatown History Project, it changed its name to Chinatown History Museum in 1991, and in 1995, to the Museum of Chinese in the Americas. MoCA now celebrates its 20th anniversary with a name that reflects its national scope and mission. MoCA is nestled in the heart of America's largest Chinatown, located on the second floor of an historic, century-old school building. Through an ongoing and historical dialogue that shapes MoCA's collections, programs and exhibitions, people of all backgrounds are able to explore the diversity and complexity of our history and culture, while gaining unique access to the images, papers, oral histories and artifacts which document the story. At the Museum by Jason Wiggins
The Museum of Chinese in the Americas is a small museum on a hard to find corner of Chinatown, in the building on the corner of Mullbery and Bayard Streets which doesn’t have a storefront on the ground floor. The only sign indicating that there is a museum is inside the building next to the stairway.
