In 1975, Stockwell was promoted to the CIA's Chief of Station and National Security Council coordinator, managing covert activities during the first years of Angola's bloody civil war. After two years he resigned, determined to reveal the truth about the agency's role in the Third World. Since that time, he has worked tirelessly to expose the criminal activities of the CIA. He is the author of In Search of Enemies, Stockwell is a founding member of Peaceways and ARDIS (the Association for Responsible Dissent), an organization of former CIA and Government officials who are openly critical of the CIA's activities. A student interactive learning web page is a page which the student can interact in some manner through the computer to learn something. It is vitally important that teachers review the web site BEFORE assigning it to a student for learning purposes. In many cases the teacher must JOIN the site (for free) before being able to use the site with their students. If you need assistance in learning how to use student interactive learning sites, please contact the Technology Office. Each site has been screened and reviewed by the Technology Office and is followed by a brief description of the site and what it has to offer teachers. The number at the end of each description is the estimated time in minutes it will take the average teacher to become familiar with the web site.

100. Types Of Activites In The Arts

http://home.att.net/~jaohlma/writings/activity-arts/
Author's Note: This essay is another product of 1995's "Directed Research in Performance" led by Dr. Richard Kennell. The question that was posed to the class this time was something to the effect of "if we're here to study performance, why are we using time to conduct research?" I believe it was because I was studying musicology/music history as well as performance that I felt a particular resonance with this question. Perhaps I was attempting to justify the process to myself. Frankly, however, I think it was more the case that I felt it was incumbant upon myself as the resident "scholar" to justify the research process to the unwashed heathen I mean, to the performance students. Once I had the paper written up, I brought it to Dr. Kennell and we discussed some of its content. He also said that he would copy it off and distribute it to the rest of the class to read and discuss near the end of the semester. Reviewing the paper now, flaws in my reasoning and the my underlying ideological bias seem obvious. Nonetheless, the writing and defending of it before an audience of my peers was a valuable experience. One last thing: that third word in the title, the one that, even now, you're probably thinking is a typographical error? It is not. It is an alternate spelling and I like it better than 'holistic'. Come on people, would I really go to the trouble of writing this and then misspell a key word in the title?
