Spring Trust for Trails helps fund new Humpback Creek Bridge on Lake Annette Trail A grant from The Spring Trust for Trails , established by the late guidebook author Ira Spring, provided $9,000 towards the material costs for a new bridge on the popular Lake Annette Trail near Snoqualmie Pass. The 60-foot long Humpback Creek Bridge replaced a 23 year-old log stringer bridge that had rotted out and had been condemned. The project was awarded to Joel Pressley from Shelton, WA. In addition to constructing the new bridge, Mr. Pressley also removed the old bridge and built approaches. Total cost of the project was $53,855.

The ships reach the the city by entering the harbor passing through the Charleston Jetty and are guided safely into the channel by the Cape Arago Lighthouse Conde D. McCullough Memorial Bridge . Once past the bridge the ships have a short trip into the harbor of the city.
The channel offers both the visitor and the residents the ability to enjoy many recreational activities - these include, but are not limited to, fishing, dungeness crabbing, and clamming. Crabbing and clamming are usually excellent given the right tide conditions. A license is now required
