http://www.shafee.com/basic-methodology.html
The Basic Methodology of Educational Informatics and its Applications Introduction The basic methodology of Educational Informatics has been formulated as a result of my work with Dr. Esther Benzaquen, in Beit Berl College, during the years 1990-2000. The first formulation of the methodology was circulated in Israel in Hebrew in . That version was based on an earlier formulation of our Theory of Educational Informatics, also circulated in Isreal in Hebrew, in . Those formulations contained all the components of the current versions. In particular, in 1966 we observed already that the most significant link between educational activities and the operation of digital instruments ought to be the concept of a data-type . Since then, our experience in training teachers in the applications of this methodology and my attempts to explain it to my colleagues in the fields of Education and of Literacy, have provided the various insights that led to the current version of our theory and of this methodology. The Main Idea of the Methodology and the Digital Revolution The main idea of our methodology is to define a process of Curriculum Design that applies to any given educational (i.e., teaching and/or learning) activity, whether observed, described or designed, and that yields a design of a similar activitiy that includes the use of Digital Technology. Obviously such a methodology is a transformation that turns educational activities into ones that contain the use of Digital Technology. Now, our methodology satisfies an additional requirement, and that is the resulting educational activitiy differs from the given one only as far as tools for working with texts go. That is, if you will describe both activities in a lanuage that does not reveal the technical nature of the tools involved, you will get identical activities.

TO JUSTIN, AGAINST CHRISTIANITY: ON CHRISTIAN DELUSIONS, DECEPTIONS, AND OUTRIGHT LIES By Arthur Avalon http://www.ToJustin.com Q: How dare you be so disrespectful towards Christianity? What gives you the right to write such blasphemy? A: The right is usually called “freedom of speech.” Many men and women fought for that right, some died for it. Christianity, on the other hand, historically fought against that right - with Inquisition, torture and murder - up until it lost the political power to barbeque its critics. Blasphemy means insulting God. The Bible insults God and tells lies about God, too. It says God murdered the entire world in a great flood. Is God history’s greatest murderer? Of course not, even if the Bible says he is. And the Bible falsely quotes God as saying:
  • Go through the midst of the city, . . . and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women . . . (Ezekiel 9:4-6) Utterly destroy all that breathes. (Joshua 10:40) Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling . . . (Samuel 15:3)

INTRODUCTION AND PROBLEMS OF THE TEXT
The Life of Adam and Eve is an apocryphal story about the experience of the first human couple after their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Of the numerous apocryphal works that were written regarding Adam and Eve in the ancient world, this text certainly has pride of place. Not only was its influence in antiquity quite evident and widespread but the tale also enjoyed enormous popularity in the medieval world as well.
      Date
The text has proven very difficult to date and one can be no more accurate than to say it must have been composed between the 3rd and 7th centuries. It is quite possible of course that certain literary units of the work are considerably older than this as there can be no question that the present form of the work is the result of a complex redactional process that wove together different source materials into a single story.
      Provenance
Equally problematic is the question of the work's provenance. Most scholars have assumed a Jewish origin for the work, on the grounds that evidence of explicit Christian features are so minimal in the tale and seem to be of a late redactional level rather than integral to the story itself. Yet recent scholarship on the creation and transmission of such apocryphal tales from antiquity suggests that the possibility of Christian origins be given due consideration. In any event the fact that the tale was copied, edited and expanded by Christian scribes and enjoyed immense popularity in Christian circles needs to be taken seriously. There is evidence of Jewish familiarity with parts of the work but no evidence of any role in the transmission of the text as it now presently stands.

The Scholarly Standard for Gospels Studies As with all scholarly reference works, it is important to buy the latest edition. The 15th edition of Synopsis Quattuor Evangeliorum, published in 1996, not only contains an up-to-date edition of the Greek New Testament (based on the 26th ed. of Nestle-Aland) but includes as an appendix the complete text of the Gospel of Thomas (in Coptic, paralleled with English and German translations) as well as retroverted translations into Greek (supplemented with extant Greek fragments) supplied in the footnotes. As with earlier editions, the parallels are given according to the order in each of the four Gospels (resulting in some duplication), an apparatus supplies the important variants found among the Greek manuscripts, and references to relevant Biblical parallels are provided. Of course, if a Synopsis of the Gospels in English is needed, then the 2nd edition of Aland's Synopsis of the Four Gospels (with Greek and English on facing pages) is the best (but it also costs twice as much). synopsis quattuor evangeliorum Prior to ordering this tittle (Synopsis Quattuor Evangeliorum, Kurt Aland)I would like to now: 1. It is written in greek? 2. Is this 13th edition the same than the 7th of Stuttgart? 3. Size of the page? 4. How many pages has this book? I will appreciate your prompt reply. Thanks.

Getting Stoned
Got this comment from lovely Alexandra , from my Seriously Disturbed entry: The issue of Peter being the first pope has been a subject of FIERCE debate, and no wonder, the Catholic Church's whole premise for their authourity stems from the idea of "apostolic succession", an unbroken lineage of papal authourity that goes back to Peter. Our first clue as to the meaning of Christ's new name for Simon Barjona (Peter) can be found in John's accounting of the Gospel: John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. stoning ). This is the rock for which our church is built on This foundation is to be one that cannot be moved, in essence an immovable bedrock from which the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. This certainly could not have applied to Peter, who later denied even knowing God. Indeed, nor is his name unique only to him, in fact we are all considered stones that make up the church (the temple of God): 1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively

Currently, IPB can highlight the syntax of different languages, such as SQL, HTML, etc. As of now, that kind of stuff is hard-coded directly into the post parser. The way this is suggesting, is allowing people to create syntax files, which could be distributed to other people. For example, I might need a syntax file for highlighting Delphi or C++ code, while others may want things like CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript, etc. etc. Obviously, implementing them all directly into the post parser ruins the portability of the system, and maintaining those bits of syntax highlighting within the post parser would be much more difficult than updating a syntax file. Using this method, I could easily create a syntax highlighter for CSS and distribute it on IBPlanet for everyone to use, then using the custom BBCode feature (planned for 2.0), they could easily create the [CSS][/CSS] tag to activate the highlighting.
