    PEAC 1000 (1 CR.) PE ACTIVITY:

    PEAC 1005 (1 CR.) IN-LINE SKATING
    A class designed for the beginning to intermediate in-line skater. Students in this course will learn proper technique in skating, as well as braking, turning, and safety. Aerobic exercise and drills are included. Students are responsible for supplying their own skates and safety equipment (helmets, wrist guards, knee and elbow pads). (activity)

    PEAC 1011 (1 CR.) AQUATIC CONDITIONING
    An aerobics exercise class for swimmers and nonswimmers. Swimming ability is not necessary. Students focus on the improvement of cardiovascular endurance, strength, and flexibility using the water's resistance. The class consists of a variety of aerobic exercises with drills and games, walkingrunning, and use of flotation resistance-type materials in the shallow end of the pool. (activity)

    Kindergarten -Grade 12
    PE is an enrichment program at the elementary level. Students receive approximately 2 hours of PE instruction per week. Depending on the campus, the time in class varies per day. PE is a required course for 6th, 7th, and 9th graders. Athletics may be substituted for PE. At the high school level, fall semester of marching band and dance may be substituted as well. Waivers for PE are available for 6th-9th grade students when students are enrolled in intense training that is at least 15 hours per week in preparation for competition in an Olympic sport.
