After School Enrichment
3:45 pm - 4:30 pm
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays after snack and break time we will run enrichment programs. These programs will be theme based and run for six weeks. Tuesdays programs will focus on science, mathematics, games, technology, health, nutrition, and writing projects. Wednesdays our activities will be drama and art based. At the end of the six weeks we will send home a consent form and description of the next program that will begin. You and your child/ren may decided whether they would like to participate. As of this time there will be no enrichment activities running on Thursdays after Homework help. However, there may be special activities scheduled on this day as the need arises. If this happens we will send the information home with the students. A consent form will need filled out every six weeks as the enrichment activities change. You may have to fill one out for any of the special activities if your child/ren would like to participate in them.

Nutritional lunch box ideas
Creative ideas for offering nutritious foods in your childrens lunch box. Includes fun ways of presenting food to make everyday fare seem special.
The school year is underway, the kids are finally settling into a routine, and so are you. Youve got the carpooling, homework help and extra-curricular scheduling down to a science, but theres still one area that you need to conquer. When packing your childs lunch box, dont forget to pack some nutrition. Of course, most kids would love to live on sweets, chips, greasy food and sugared soda. But, as a parent, you know that most of these items have very little or no nutritional value. And, studies have shown that eating right can help your student to excel in school. So, all you have to do is tell children to eat their protein, fruits and veggies, and theyll oblige. Wrong! Experienced parents know its never that easy. In fact, getting kids to eat healthy foods can be a trying and even exasperating struggle. bodyOffer(26856) So, how can you fulfill your responsibility as a parent and provide your kids with nutrition, and serve them food that they wont turn their nose up to? The first step is to be creative. Children, especially those that are younger, love to eat food that is fun to look at, as well as fun to eat. Peanut butter is loaded with protein, an essential element that has been found to help children excel in school. Spread peanut butter on nutritious whole wheat bread and cut sandwiches into fun shapes with cookie cutters. And, to cut down on processed sugars, be sure to use natural jelly that is made with all fruit. For a fun treat, spread half a bagel with cream cheese, and craft a face out of raisins, nuts and chunks of apple.

Getting The Facts On Homework Help
Pencils and paper are just the beginning when helping your child with his or her homework. Computers have become an essential learning tool and the world wide web offers endless information and assistance. In addition to the basics, here are some more tips and tools to help you and your child get the most out of homework. Learn more about: Top
Homework and Computers
These days many schools have computers in classrooms, and many households have personal computers. Ask you child's teacher to explain his or her policy about the use of computers, typewriters or any special equipment for homework. If the teacher allows students to use a computer, but you don't have a computer in your home, or if your family computer is being used by many family members, check with your child's teacher, the school library, and the local public library about using their computers. Some schools offer after-school programs where your child can use the school's computers. And many public libraries make computers available to children. Top
Online Homework Resources
Using a computer is becoming increasingly common and sometimes necessary for children to complete their homework assignments. Computers can be a great learning tool and provide access to the many resources that are available on the Internet. Although, identifying reliable resources can be overwhelming for both parents and children. To help you get started, FCIC has compiled a list of web sites that can help you find online homework help.
