Kick off the new millennium by engaging your classroom or school in a geography education project. NGS is offering up to $1,250 to TCs and Grant applications are available from the OGA office. Deadline - March 15, 2000. CRAM Awards
The George F. Cram Company will give $750 cash awards to K-12 teachers (or groups of teachers) for descriptions of exemplary classroom presentations they have created. To be eligible, the presentation must 1) reflect current trends in geographic education and 2) present an innovative or original approach to geography. Formats may also include lessons, workshops or other learning activities. Applications are available from the OGA office. Deadline - March 5, 2000. OGA Incentive and Family Geography Grants
The next deadline for these grants is June 30, 2000. Congratulations to the latest recipients of OGA Incentive Grants, Jennifer VanWerkhooven and Aelfric Wolf.
