Now Let Us All Praise Warren G. Harding
by Patrick J. Buchanan
July 9, 1997
O n this year's centennial of the inauguration of William McKinley, Ohio University professor Alfred E. Eckes, a trade official under Ronald Reagan, addressed Ohio's Historical Society. Subject: our 25th president, assassinated by an anarchist in Buffalo in 1901. McKinley's was a truly extraordinary presidency. A teenager at Antietam and Civil War veteran of four years fighting, McKinley took over a nation still wracked by the Panic of 1893. To restore prosperity, he raised tariffs, taxing imports rather than workers, and gave America an annual growth rate of 7 percent! Unemployment in McKinley's tenure fell from 14 percent to 4 percent. Though he did his best to avoid war over Cuba, the blowing up of the battleship Maine in Havana Harbor in 1898 forced McKinley's hand. Within four months, he defeated Spain and captured Cuba annexing Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii and the Philippines. While making America a global power, McKinley ran a budget surplus and cut U.S. debt to $16 per capita. (Today, it is $20,000 per capita.) In 1900, he chose war hero Theodore Roosevelt as vice president and crushed William Jennings Bryan a second time. In slashing the nation's misery index (unemployment plus inflation), McKinley's record, writes Eckes, is superior to any president this century, save one. FDR? Reagan? Nope. FDR ranks fourth, Reagan third. The president who was first at cutting the misery index is Warren G. Harding.

Dean sets himself up a formidable task in his mini-biography of Warren G. Harding, the latest in the "American Presidents" series. Harding is generally considered by historians to be one of the worst presidents in history, if not at the absolute bottom of the barrel. His administration was marred by the nastiest White House scandal until Watergate half a century later. How can such a tarnished figure be rehabilitated? Yet that's exactly what Dean has tried to do, with mixed results. Dean says in his Introduction that Harding has been the victim of a grave injustice by historians who have ignored "much of the relevant information about Harding and his presidency." This is a personal matter with Dean, who has long been fascinated with Harding and who grew up in Harding's hometown of Marion, Ohio. So Dean definitely has an agenda to portray Harding in as positive a light as he possibly can, given the facts.

We believe the US Government did a "1-2 elimination." The question remains: Did he die at his own hand, a heart attack (on record), the hand of his wife or from a mysterious government conspiracy because of his BLACKNESS? Government conspiracies were not uncovered in the 1920’s by the press. Televisions, computers and sophisticated research activities to “hype or sensationalize” a report or story had not been invented. (Photo: Famous Clip Art) Just recently I received an e-mail from a reader who was surprised to read that people knew Harding was Black. He said, "I did not know that anyone knew Harding was Black. My father who is now dead, was a little boy in Washington during Harding's Administration. His uncle was a "Senator" from Cleveland. He was Black passing as a son of a Cuban. His name was Vernil Harris." Anyway teapot Dome has connections to Bush and especially Cheney. NORAD encryption uses fractalization from the oil at Teapot Dome Scandal. The US was using the oil at Teapot Dome for early attempts at "Artificial Intelligence" even in Harding's time. The basis for all US codes and radio encryption started in WW1 at Teapot Dome Scandal. It was this early work that would eventually lead to the Breaking of Enigma's Code and Japan's "Purple" Machine. There are indications that Harding was not aware of the significance of Tea Pot Dome when he allowed the drilling rights to be transferred.

The Symbolism in Warren G. Harding's Home
Last summer, I was traveling through Ohio, when I went through the home town of US President, Warren G. Harding. I can not remember the name of the town, sorry._
In his museum in the building behind the house, there is a large amount of his Masonic regalia on display._
Down the road, is his tomb and memorial. It is a grand marble structure for such a small town. The structure is based upon the structure which was originally to be placed at the foot of the Washington monument. This structure is a circular rotunda type structure which I have read is a design for a masonic temple. Across the street is a veteran's cemetary with a large obelisk in view of the Harding memorial._
I decided to write this, since I am currently reading your book, "the Biggest Secret" And much of what I saw and felt there as clicked. While there, I had a strange vibe from the place, especially at the monument. Hope this is useful. I wish that I had taken photos, I would have sent them to

Harding once gambled away the White House China in a card game. A conservative politician from Ohio, Harding had few enemies because he rarely took a firm enough stand on an issue to make any. Who would have suspected that the man to succeed Woodrow Wilson, America's most visionary President, would be a man who saw the President's role as largely ceremonial? Warren Harding was raised in a small town in Ohio. His wholesome and picture book childhood farm chores, swimming in the local creek, and playing in the village band was the basis of his down-home appeal later in life.
