DESIGN GALLERY OF STAINED GLASS ART WORK In the following pieces of art work, I use a variety of techniques to explore the properties of light transmission through coloured glass, drawing inspiration from the traditions of both the Middle East and Western Europe, adapting traditional designs to contemporary situations. Tools and Techniques. There are a number of techniques for engraving glass, these include: Stipple engraving Line engraving Drill engraving Copper wheel engraving. ... Acid etching All of these have their particular advantages and there are descriptions of each in this section. My own techniques involve the use of Steel and Diamond point,line and stipple engraving and to some extent drill engraving. These are the main topics described at the start of this section. This section is under development, there is more to come.
