1. Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital is a 280-bed JCAHO accredited state hospital in Rome, Georgia. Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital offers a variety of services including crisis intervention, psychological evaluation and testing; behavioral treatment planning and implementation; individual psychotherapy, group therapy; psychosocial rehabilitation; consultation and education; and clinical training and supervision. Interns may receive their training while working with any of the following programs described in detail below. a) Acute Adult Mental Health Units (80 beds)
On these units, interns are primarily involved with short-term or brief therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, brief assessments and treatment planning with the seriously mentally ill and persons with substance abuse issues, as well as training with the staff. There is also some opportunity for work with forensic, geriatric and developmentally disabled populations and to conduct long-term therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, comprehensive assessments, case management and supervision. b) Medium-Secure Forensic Adult Unit (40 beds)
The medium-secure forensic unit provides inpatient mental health services to adults involved with the legal system. Crisis stabilization and long-term treatment are provided to defendants from jail and to individuals who have been found Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST) or have been adjudicated Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity (NGRI). Interns will have an opportunity to conduct psychological assessment and individualized treatment planning with this population. They will provide individual and group psychotherapy, including treatment focused on restoration to competency. Interns will participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team and inpatient forensic evaluations.

Archbold Medical Center offers the Financial Assistance Program to aid patients and their families without insurance coverage faced with medical bills beyond their ability to pay. If you meet the requirement for the Financial Assistance Program, all or a portion of your hospital charges may be covered. You will not be required to pay for hospital charges covered under the Financial Assistance Program. How do I know if I may be eligible for the Financial Assistance Program? The Archbold Medical Center Financial Assistance Program uses family size and income to determine your eligibility. First, determine the size of your family, next determine your annual family income. If more than one family member provides income, remember to include all the income. With your family size and annual income, go to the Annual Income Eligibility Chart. Find your family size and go across to the first column with income. If your income is less than the amount shown you may qualify for financial assistance for all your hospital charges. Juanita Burch Secretary jburch@dtae.org Georgia Fatherhood Program The Georgia Fatherhood Program (GFP) is a partnership between the Department of Technical and Adult Education (DTAE), Division of Special Workforce Services, and the Department of Human Resources, Office of Child Support Enforcement (CSE). This program provides education, training, and job placement for non-custodial parents with court-ordered child support. GFP offers a statewide systematic delivery of services that enables participants to contribute to the economic well being of their children and the workforce development of the State of Georgia. GFP is a comprehensive program of services which includes assessment, workshops, and skills training concurrent with employment. The GFP seeks to serve all non-custodial parents who want to support their children, but lack the financial means to do so. Participants are required to attend Life Management Skills training and workshops. Adult literacy, GED preparation, and short-term training (TCC) courses are also available from the technical institute.
