    Yglecias's Gardening Tips
Gardening for some is a way of life, and for others is a nice hobby to keep them occupied. Regardless of the purpose of your garden, I have created this web page to offer methods of gardening as well as some helpful gardening tips to any whom may be interested. Being a certified Master Gardener in Arizona, I have come up with ways of gardening that uses less water consumption and provides pest free gardening that yields some of the freshest tasting vegetables I've ever had. I am experienced in both Hydroponics and Organic gardening in the Arizona climate. Contrary to popular belief, you CAN grow crops year around using the systems I have developed and tested myself. The system above has been in use year around for the last 3 years and has been very successful in producing several varieties of vegetables for consumption. If you are interested in learning more about gardening and how to set up your own in this hot desert sun, take a look at the links below, as I have provided information on how you can get started, as well as some helpful hints with managing your garden.

    http://www.nsis.org/garden/garden-native-wildlife.html
Wildlife Gardening Gardening for wildlife is simple if you're aware of what wildlife is in your area and what their needs are. You may wish to attract wildlife to feed in your yard or go further and provide a diverse habitat. Wildlife habitat necessities
    Cover
Plants provide wildlife with protection from weather and predators as well as a place to rest, eat, and raise young. Often plants also provide food, and some will collect rain water for drinking, too.
    Food
All wildlife feed on plants or other animals. Ideally, the diversity of plants in the yard will provide year-round food.
    Water
Fresh drinking water is essential for wildlife. Some animals need bodies of water for egg laying and early development and some live partially or entirely in water. Ponds are gaining in popularity, but simply placing a birdbath or large plant saucer filled with fresh water will supply the needs of a wide variety of wildlife.

    Giannangelo Farms Southwest
GIANNANGELO FARMS SOUTHWEST is a collection of sustainable formal/patterned raised bed organic gardens located near El Morro National Monument, east of Ramah, in Northwestern New Mexico. We are gardening in a challenging high altitude (7300') desert environment, requiring a great deal of innovation, and persistence to achieve organic gardening which is sustainable. Our display gardens feature perennial and annual culinary kitchen and medicinal herbs - for teas, dried herbs, and potpourri; hardy varieties of sedum, succulents, and drought resistant perennials; many varieties of lettuces and salad greens, kales, root vegetables, globe and Jerusalem artichokes, native shrubs, fruit trees, onions, garlics, perennial and annual flowers, edible flowers, an asparagus bed, trellises, pools, and goldfish ponds. All gardening is planned to encourage wildlife - birds, frogs and toads, butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects. We give Organic Gardening, Straw Bale Wall, Rockwork, and Labyrinth Workshops throughout the year, and are open to the public for Guided Garden Tours year around, with the garden at its height from July through September. We have two greenhouses for growing heat loving plants such as basil, tomatoes, and cucumbers, drying herbs, protecting tender perennials - rosemary, French lavender, Bay Laurel, and providing year around salad greens and kitchen herbs.

Annes Grove Gardens are famous privately owned gardens open to the public during the summertime. Annes Grove Gardens are situated in County Cork, Southern Ireland.
Annes Grove demesne, known in the 18th century as Ballyhimock, was originally an estate of the Grove family. In the late 18th century it became the property of the Hon. Arthur Grove Annesley, as a consequence of the marriage of his uncle, the first Earl Annesley, to Mary Grove. His descendants have lived here ever since. The gardens at Annes Grove, created by the late Richard Grove Annesley in the first half of the twentieth century, are a supreme expression of gardening in the Robinsonian manner - the interplanting of native and exotic species into a natural setting with a minimum of formality. For the specialist, the collection of rhododendrons is of particular interest: it includes specimens which were originally raised by Mr. Annesley from seed collected by the late Frank Kingdon-Ward in Tibet and Nepal.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, one in ten households in the United States experiences hunger or the risk of hunger. Approximately 36 million people, including 9.9 million children, have substandard diets or must resort to seeking emergency food because they cannot always afford the food they need. Research shows that hundreds of hungry children and adults are turned away from food banks each year because of lack of resources. As a gardener you can help lower these statistics. Please visit the Plant A Row For The Hungry website to find out how. View Sheri's Garden on the American Garden Museum Website
