By Jill Cooper The other day I was asked one of the most common questions that people ask me. "Where do I start to get out of debt?" After telling me of her huge credit card debt and how they eat out almost every night, the lady took a deep breath and said, "How do I save on laundry detergent and cleaning supplies?" Sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees. Even though saving money on cleaning supplies does help and should be done, that usually isn’t where the biggest problem with the debt lies. This woman never once thought to ask me how to stop eating out so much. Most people don’t want to face the real causes of their debt. Their biggest problems are the things they like the most. Going out to eat is one of the top five causes of debt. Get those dirty dishes out of the sink!!

Mr. Cheapie takes his frugal living tips to the restaurant.
So you feel like a hamster spinning your wheel? The faster you run, the faster the wheel spins. Just when you get a raise, you notice the price of hamster wheels jumps! Mr. Cheapie is here with his super-charged budget-cutting frugal living tips One of the biggest wastes of money is restaurant meals. You can cook a meal at home for about 2 cents a plate. Just put leftovers in the microwave, and Presto! Those same leftovers cost a lot more at a restaurant. They call it "the buffet", and they sell it to you for $10.95. Consider also the steak dinner that costs, say, $7 at home. At the restaurant, you pay $13.95 for the same meal. Or, if you want fancy napkins, $39.95. Plus tax.

Frugal Living
What Can You Do With...
by Alison Proteau
I am an admitted packrat. I am not sure it's possible to be attempting a more frugal lifestyle without picking up some stuff along the way. Part of living more frugally is trying to make do with what you have in hand rather than running out to purchase items. Sometimes it takes some imagination and, sure, it takes a couple of extra seconds to decide between trashing something or reusing it creatively but, on the whole, making that effort is usually worthwhile. What about uses for other items in your home? Old pantyhose can become deer repellent sachets for your fruit trees, a soap holder hanging out by the hose in summer for quick cleanups, even a jelly bag. Soap scraps from your soapdishes by the sink and in the shower can find new life. Try using them as homemade liquid handsoap, or put a scrap in a jar of warm water with a facecloth for car trips instead of wasting wipes cleaning up sticky hands and faces. Toilet paper and paper towel tubes can become craft materials (what CAN'T become craft materials) or extension cord organizers , fire starter logs for the woodstove, even napkin ring bases.

recalls community shop Save Money Now The Truth about Frugal Living By Gregory Thomas Here's a question for you. What's the impression or image you have in your head when you think of someone who is a "tightwad," living somewhat of a frugal lifestyle? Does the stereotypical image of an old, feeble-minded miser with dirty old overalls, worn-out sneakers with a fisherman cap pop up in your mind? That's OK. Stereotypes are hard to get rid of, especially the negative connotations sometimes associated with budget-related terminology. All to often people assume frugality and budgeting are for poor, low-income families. Only the less fortunate have to worry about these things, right? All That Waste
In our society, it is very easy to get caught up in all the glamour of the rich and famous. You know, all the fancies in life. Isn't everybody supposed to be gorgeous, drive fancy cars, dine at the most expensive restaurants and have beachfront property to come home to everyday? We have this image of the wealthy and all the luxuries they spend their money on, and we sometimes try to replicate this in our own lives. More specifically, we don't want to be seen as if we are financially challenged, so we spend our money the way we think wealthier people do. We buy what they buy. Go where they go. We spend our money carelessly without even giving it a second thought. It makes us feel good because we've briefly made people think that we are wealthier than we really are. Sometimes, we even trick ourselves into believing that we actually have more than we really do.

You can afford to stay home with your children - work from home and practice frugal living! I speak to so many moms who want to be able to stay home with their children and take care of their homes. The moms want to stay home but they cannot afford to stay home - and this presents a dilemma. Their hearts say yes but their pocketbooks say no. If this scenario describes you then you have come to the right place. Learn how to work from home as well as tips for frugal living - all while you stay home with your kids! For all the frugal moms - My favorite section is Work from Home because it is filled with very creative ways to work from home without ever leaving your house! For instance did you know that you can actually get paid for surveys? Neither did I until I stumbled upon this well kept secret! One day I applied at a survey company, they sent me an email the next day asking me to complete a survey that would take about 20 minutes and then I received a check in the mail for $6.00. I know that $6.00 isn't a ton of money but considering the fact that I didn't leave my house, I was in my pj's and it only took 20 minutes, I really can't complain! To learn more about paid opinion surveys follow the Work from Home Survey link.
