Hello ! Are you interested in Forest ? No problema, there are Summer practical forestry courses ! This is a perfect occasion to have an field experience among the Finnish Forest !! These courses are for the finnish forestry students which are in the 1st year. These field courses will be done in a biological station in Hyytiälä between May and August . The courses can be done in english if some exchange students are interested, and more we are more interested it will be ! Hyytiälä is a wonderful place in the middle of the nature. In fact, the area is pleasant and peacefull. In addition, you have many activities for your leisure time (saunas, football, tennis...). I don't know exactly the precise price but i can tell you that the food and the accomodation are cheap (probably around 10 euros/day for both). The programme of these different field courses is : Silviculture (3 weeks) 2) Entomology (1 week) 3) Peatland forestry (2 weeks) 4) Forest management planning (3 weeks) 5) Forest technology (3 weeks) This programme is facultatif, but the outline is there. If you want more informations about the Forestry field station just go to :

College of Forestry
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Forestry education in BSU started in 1974 with the offering of the Forest Ranger Certificate Course (FRCC) under the Department of Forestry of the then Mountain State Agricultural College (MSAC). The department was later elevated into an institute, and finally to a college status when MSAC became Benguet State University on January 12, 1986 by virtue of P.D. 2010. The Forest Ranger Certificate Course primarily aims to cater to the need for forest technicians equipped with the knowledge and skills of managing forests. MSAC produced its first FRCC graduates in 1976.
