1995 - it stays! ;o) Hello from Orlando, Florida! Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the web! It's nothing fancy, but I hope you find something of interest here. Please be sure and sign my Guestbook before you leave! I was born and raised in Florida, and have been just about everywhere in this state. My Links Page includes attractions, government, historical, genealogy, recipes , and other assorted Florida-related Internet sites, plus a couple of great 'on line' Bible links. I also have a page with some local churches you can visit while you're vacationing in Orlando.
I have a page about Metzenseifen , the European town my immigrant grandparents were born in, and a page built specifically for my husband in an effort to locate his relatives in France and England. Oh, and please check out my Pop's

Florida Table of Contents
Welcome to the USGenWeb Archives Project for Florida. On this site you will find genealogically significant files that have been transcribed and contributed by volunteers. It is folks like you who have helped this project grow from its beginning in 1996 to what it is today. Please consider donating a file so that others may have free access to it. Remember, this site is what you make of it! If you have found useful information, please take a moment to thank the volunteer who donated the file. Happy hunting!
How to use the USGenWeb Archives
Use the County Tables of Contents This is the most popular way to navigate the Archives. Each county has a Table of Contents (TOC). On each TOC the files are organized by file type, with a brief description, the file size, date it was added to the Archives, and name of submitter. Search the USGenWeb Archives This search engine indexes all words in each document in the Archives. Therefore, a search can be on a surname, given name, or place, for example. Go directly to Florida ftp site This allows you to navigate through the Archives directory structure without using the county Tables of Contents found below. Files are organized by county, then file type. These are the exact same files you will find by using the county TOC, but there may also be a few new files that haven't yet been added to the TOC.

... And just where is Jefferson County anyway? Just to break the ice, let's start off with something totally unrelated to Jefferson County, or for that matter, genealogy in general. Click Here The Florida GenWeb Project The Florida GenWeb Project needs your help. There are still several counties that need sponsers. There's really nothing to it. You aren't responsible for doing lookups, and don't even have to live in the county you sponsor. Take a look at the Florida County List for the unsponsored counties, or e-mail your questions directly to the state coordinators Darrel R. Bell or Jim Powell, Jr. . Put a little back to the place that has brought you so much. Look-up Volunteers Needed I don't live in Jefferson County. Therefore, unfortunately, I am unable to do the look-ups. I need volunteers who either live in Jefferson Co, or have Jefferson Co. materials who will do lookups for people. Please, if you can do this let me know. Please put JEFFERSON FL VOLUNTEER in the subject box. Current Volunteers If you want to volunteer to do look ups!
