The NSDC specialty is bridging the gap between research, theory and practice. Members are balanced between school personnel, private consultants, regional educational service center and laboratory staff, and university faculty. NSDC has 36 state and provincial affiliates which provide local support to staff developers. (See the section titled "Events" on this site for more info.) The NSDC can be contacted at P.O.
