    Film Making - Independent Production
    Reality Messages in Film
May 2004 In the 21st century we explore the nature of reality through technology and emotion. The soul wants to find the truth behind the illusion - even in film. Reality TV is the 'pulse' as we can vicariously experience with the average person not a trained actor - events and dialogue not scripted. We expand on reality themes in 2004 - as our souls guide us to the truth about reality. We discover that: - An average-looking person can find love - In an age of technology - no one has to be unattractive. We watch reality shows that transform people into someone of beauty with higher self-esteem - erasing years of self-doubt and destructive patterns of behavior. Plastic surgery has made it possible to recreate the ugliest duckling in a beautiful swan. There is physical fitnesss - exercise and diet for those who need to loose weight and get healthy. - As we clean up the body - we must work on the emotions. Reality TV deals with the emotions - fear the strongest factor. Like the talk shows of the 1990's - people often get down to the most basic emotions and express them publically. Some go public to release years of pain and suffering. Some want the limelight. Others want the money and notoriety. - The number of beautiful and very talented people is growing each year as people work on themselves and study acting - music - dance - art - anything in the arts that they would like to showcase.

Subject: Film making: where is it?
    Folks,
My concern for the future of the University of Washington is that it does
not teach film-making and television production outside of extension
courses. Cinematic studies are scattered between Drama, Comparative Literature, various area studies programs, and English, and concentrate far more on analysis than creation. The university seems to be ignoring the most pervasive art in our culture, that of recorded drama for television and film, to focus on the smaller, historical art that spawned it, the theater of the stage. Clearly the stage has a great deal to teach those who make films or television shows, and the history and techniques of theater are worth

We have the technology - YOU have the talent!
The technology is here today for you to produce your full length features using video!
In recent years the production of independent films and videos has greatly increased due to many contributing technologies. The internet has allowed the independent producer the opportunity to achieve broad distribution of their product for little or no cost. This is the same phenomenon that created the buzz which launched “The Blair Witch Project” into commercial success and have given many small-town bands widespread exposure through web radio and MP3s. Faster access in homes throughout the country will soon allow the same broadband distribution of video and an independent producer will not only be able to create a buzz for their production, they will actually be able to distribute it right into our homes. There are many new technologies making this broadband distribution a reality. The new DV camcorders, decks, and non-linear editing systems have brought the ability to create high quality final productions at a fraction of the cost of a similar system just 2 years ago. In fact, this new format is so popular that major studios are now supporting DV production and the Sundance Film Festival has received about three times as many digital entries this year compared to previous years!

Career Options FILM MAKING Introduction Institutes Tell A Friend Feedback INTRODUCTION Film is probably the broadest and most varied creative opportunity in mass media. Films, a blend of creativity and technicality are an important media, not only for entertainment and information, but also for communication. Films, the most international medium, has developed into a universal art form that transcends cultural differences. Film making include feature films, documentaries, newsreels, Promotional films, TV commercials, music Videos etc. The craft of filmmaking is a teamwork which needs close coordination of various skilled individuals. It involves acting, directing, producing, script writing, cinematography, sound recording, visual mixing, editing and so on. A film maker like the captain of a ship has to look at all these aspects of film making. He has to start at the very bottom and work his way up. i.e. beginning with raising capital for the film to its distribution, screening as well as all the stages of its crafting. The field of film making which is highly competitive is one that has a lot of scope for employment opportunities especially, India which releases a large number of films every year. If one has artistic and technical skills and at the same time ability to express ideas, this is the right field for you.

    FILM MAKING INTRODUCTION
We have worldwide experience of travel, research, photography, and filming in remote places, built up over 33 years. Most of our films are of Wildlife and Environmental subjects, but also include Anthropology, Documentary and Adventure titles. We normally work to produce and deliver a complete film package, from the birth of a concept; through research; reconnaissance; budgeting; treatment and script writing; filming on location, using our own full production facilities; through all stages of post-production to delivery of a finished film, together with accessory materials. However we also take on sequence material for other productions, providing personnel and equipment as necessary, and we specialise in aerial filming , utilising our own series of sophisticated camera mounts.
