Sligo.
Phone:+353 71 62741 Welcome Irish history. The special atmosphere of Ireland's countryside has a lot to do with its traditional way - the feeling of contact with older wisdoms. In the farms of the countryside, especially, there is a continuity of love for the land and its domestic animals. Farming is still a family affair, with a lifestyle that respects old courtesies and the habit of kindness to strangers.
Description Irish history. Your guided tour of Woodville farm takes you through mature woodland, green pastures and old farm buildings showing a wide range of farm animals and poultry in their natural surroundings. Come view, hold or feed our animals and collect eggs from the free-range hens. See farming as it used to be in our farm machinery museum.
Wander through the nature trail in mature woodland and enjoy close contact with cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, pet lambs and donkeys in a picturesque parkland setting. Various breeds of poultry and pheasants share our walled garden while history and heritage are well preserved in our renovated (1870) horse stalls museum.

Back Up Headwaters Plan Create a Working Farm Museum in Headwaters For some time, the headwater communities have had a strong interest in establishing a working historical farm, which will educate residents, visitors and school children about farm life in the 1930’s. Residents have a wealth of skills and resources, involving traditional Appalachian farming practices that will support the establishment of this farm. Currently, potential sites and funding sources are being explored. This project is related to agri-tourism and heritage tourism efforts, as well as sustainable agriculture. Annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Farm House Museum
On Independence Day, join us for music, dancing provided by the Onion Creek Cloggers, food, games, and tours of the Farm House Museum! Due to budget cutbacks, the Farm House Museum will no longer be open on Sundays effective January 2, 2004.
We do hope you will visit us during our open hours:
Monday -Friday, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. In the center of the campus grounds of Iowa State University sits a three story, grey-stuccoed house with an inviting red brick walk leading to its front door. Students walking by on their way to class often see signs in the yard announcing free "Hot Cider" or "Lemonade" just for coming inside. Where on campus can you view former college President Beardshear's chair or walk through the very rooms where founders of Iowa State lived and made decisions that affect life on campus today? It is here at the Farm House Museum. This fourteen-room structure was the first building on the Iowa State campus. It was begun in 1860 when the college campus was prairie grass, before there was a college building and before students walked the college paths or worked the college farm. Volunteers from the neighboring communities began construction on the house for the college farm just two years after the state legislature passed a measure in 1858 providing for the establishment of a State Agricultural College and Model Farm. It was the first building in the nation's first state to accept the Morrill Act. It is where the very first Board of Trustees met and planned the first college building, laid plans for the first curriculum and selected the first faculty for the college.
