The Russellville City Slickers is a Pope County, Arkansas 4-H Club. 4-H clubs are a part of a youth program of the Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Arkansas. 4-H is open to youth ages 5-8 (Cloverbuds), 9-13 (Juniors), and 14-19 (Seniors). The primary purpose of 4-H is to develop leadership, initiative, citizenship, and character in youth while encouraging them to learn about the subjects of interest to them. We participate in several community activities such as collecting money for the Defiance Area Society for the Handicapped (DASH) and collecting canned goods for area food pantries. We complete our choice of educational projects from a large selection of available experiences. 4-H is a great way for our members to make new friends and learn new skills!!
For the last four years, our club has worked hard and achieved the "Honor Club" status. Last year, we had 24 4-H members, 4 Cloverbud members, 3 adult advisors and the support of our many parent volunteers. The enrollment deadline for our county is April 15th so come check us out and join our club!! We are always ready to welcome new members. Please contact us at ff4hclub@yahoo.com
