An integrated and hands-on social studies/history program is provided at Strawberry Point School. Students use a variety of learning activities to increase awareness of their local, national and world communities in addition to encouraging better understanding and appreciation of the uniqueness of all people. Students use maps, globes, atlases, and computer programs to aid in understanding the world and their place in it. The democratic process is provided by participation in student council, class meetings and TRIBES activities. Students work together in groups utilizing community, classroom and library resources.
