William Sayers – Publications The articles and notes listed below are all included in the MLA International Bibliography, where additional pertinent cataloguing information will be found. To complement the various sorting capabilities of the MLA database, it seemed useful to provide a listing organized in terms of language, community, and historical period. As many of the articles treat of cultures in contact, there are a number of subheadings, e.g., Anglo-Norman and Irish . Individual articles are listed by year of publication and thereafter alphabetically. At the end, a number of recent works on maritime topics are relisted chronologically and some English and other word studies are noted. The overall organization is as follows: ROMANCE
French, Anglo-Norman
Anglo-Norman and Breton, Welsh
Anglo-Norman and Irish
Anglo-Norman and Norse

Contacts in DG IV Forty years of European Cultural Co-operation The European Cultural Convention 48 countries review their preparations for ''European Heritage Days'' 2004
Meeting on 10 and 11 June 2004 in Strasbourg, France. Coordinators from 48 European states will outline their plans for European Heritage Days 2004. They will focus particularly on their ways of highlighting the European dimension of this event, in which public interest grows with each year that goes by. During the weekends of September 2003, more than 20 million people made visits (most of them free of charge) to numerous monuments and sites, especially some which are not usually open to the public. Such varied themes as water, food and drink, sports venues and gardens are among those chosen for 2004 by the participating states. After Ireland's launch of the 2003 event, it is Spain which will inaugurate this year's European Heritage Days between 3 and 5 September in Barcelona.
