This is the oldest professional organization for psychology and one of the largest professional organizations in the world. The APA also is responsible for accrediting graduate and professional schools of psychology. introduces students to the American Psychological Society. If students ask why there are two professional organizations for psychology, you discuss the split that happened in the 1980s because of the different needs of practitioners and researchers. You also might want to mention that many academic psychologists belong to both. The following websites are most useful for faculty. Each website will give you access to current research projects. You may choose to have your students participate in some of these experiments. Several of the sites will let your students work with psychology students at other community colleges, universities, and high schools.

Department of Exercise Sciences
Exercise Science is the graduate program of the Faculty of Physical Education and Health. The unifying theme for research activities in the Exercise Science Program is the influence that physical activity can have on health, and the effect that disease and injury have on physical activity. Research interests of the cardiovascular group include: cardiovascular control during stress, adaptive responses of circulation, angiogenesis, etc.
Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation
The department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation offers a rich array of full- and part-time graduate health services educational programs for managers, policy-makers, clinicians and researchers. Students can select modular training for working professionals; specialize in clinical epidemiology, health informatics, health policy, health services outcomes and evaluation, health services organization and management or choose from a variety of interdisciplinary and collaborative options. HPME encompasses over 200 affiliated faculty at the University of Toronto, its teaching hospitals and associated research institutes who generate and transmit both theoretical knowledge and practical innovations. Abstract
We present the results of a study to assess crucial aspects and the strength of the scientific basis of a typically interdisciplinary, applied field: nutrition and food research. Our approach is based on an advanced bibliometric analysis with novel elements to assess the influence and dissemination of research results. The results refute the opinion that bibliometric analysis is not, or hardly, applicable in the applied fields of science, particularly in an interdisciplinary environment.
A novel element is a disciplinary breakdown of knowledge dissemination by a research institute based on a field-specific analysis of all publications citing the work of the institute. It reveals the mutual boosting of applied and basic research. Particularly the analysis of publications citing applied work can be regarded as a novel indicator for potential users of knowledge and with that, new markets. In this context it is important to compare actors (e.g., countries, institutes) involved in citing publications with those involved in the institute's international co-operation.

The same trend was seen with the T1 connection, although the differences often were not significant. When T1 transmission times were compared with modem times with other variables held constant, modem times were significa ntly longer (P <. 005) for all dermatologists. Simil arly, when cases of above average image quality were considered, agreement incre ased to 84% to 98%. Again this difference was substantiated by means of a chi-sq uare test between adequate and poor images, with statistical significance for tw o dermatologists (P <0. 00 1). NIHSS scores ranged from 1 through 24. Based on weighted kappa coefficients, 4 items (orientation, motor arm, motor leg, and neglect) displayed excellent ag reement, 6 items (language, dysarthria, sensation, visual fields, facial palsy, and gaze) displayed good agreement, and 2 items (commands and ataxia) displayed poor agreement. Total NIHSS scores obtained by bedside and remote methods were s trongly correlated (r=0.97, P
