    http://www.mileskelly.net/
MILES KELLY PUBLISHING was founded in 1996. Since then we have published over 360 highly informative, carefully designed and densely illustrated titles. Although most of these books have been in the children's reference area, a browse through this website will reveal the huge variety of the material and depth of many of the series. We have made multi-volume series something of a trademark and some of these series run to over 20 titles. Our success and growth has been quietly done: few would know that the Flip Quiz range, for example, has sold over a million copies or that a high proportion of the list has been sold in numerous translations. Some titles now exist in twelve different languages. Our packaging business is another quiet success. We have produced over 200 books from single series to whole publishing programmes for 15 different publishers spread evenly between the UK and the States.

John Wilkes, the son of Israel Wilkes, a malt distiller, was born on 17th October 1725. In 1747 he married Mary Meade, an heiress who owned a large estate at Aylesbury. It was a marriage of convenience and Wilkes spent most of his time with his friends at the Hell Fire Club. After ten years he permanently separated from his wife. Bored by his life of pleasure, Wilkes decided to become involved in politics and in 1757 he was elected MP for Aylesbury.
In 1762, the new king, George III , arranged for his close friend, the Earl of Bute , to become prime minister. This decision upset a large number of MPs who considered Bute to be incompetent. John Wilkes became Bute's leading critic in the

Online Encyclopedias: Which Are the Best Ones for Students?
Good, free reference material is available on the Internet. Today, Education World writer Mary Daniels Brown analyzes and compares a handful of free online encyclopedias. The Internet is a vast sea of information. But how reliable is that information? Can students do meaningful research on the Internet? After examining online encyclopedias, Education World answers YES! to both of those questions.
    HOW WE RATED THE ENCYCLOPEDIAS
For this article, we considered eight online encyclopedias that offer free information. To compare the encyclopedias, we conducted two searches on each: Abraham Lincoln (a humanities-social sciences topic) and the solar system (a science topic). We purposely chose those two topics to see how each site handled multi-word search terms. All eight encyclopedias handled our two-word search terms with no problem.

June 8th in History Winner of the Knowledgerush Prize for Short Fiction Congratulations to S. J. If you have comments please leave them on S. J. Draper's author page Knowledgerush Librarian A few months ago Anthony Trollope's The Way We Live Now aired on the local PBS station. I really enjoyed seeing how relevant the story is today. Here it is converted from the Project Gutenberg text to Microsoft eBook format. We also have the original PG text too if you prefer that. Also take a look at: Les Miserables Vanity Fair Emma The Count of Monte Cristo ... Leaves of Grass or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in Microsoft eBook format. It's a great electronic reading experience. The text to speech module is also very fun. If you don't have the Microsoft Reader download it before you download any of the books.
