The Amarr Bible Advertisement Welcome to The Amarr Network This is the Amarr Network, your central news agency for all things Amarr in the EVE universe. We will keep you up to date with all the latest events and happenings in the Empire, including the highly confusing corporate politics - with contacts spreading all over the EVE galaxy we'll get you every bit of info you desire! We hope you enjoy your stay at our new website. We are currently looking for news reporters! If you are interested, please contact KnightDelta via the EVE Forums or send an email to kdelta@amarr.net Newsflash : Imperial Space-Lanes Plagued by Rise in Piracy Posted by KnightDelta on Sunday, May 16 @ 11:08:34 EDT (30 reads) comments? Newsflash In recent days, Concord conflict-nets have logged a sharp increase of disturbing distress calls in the depths of what has until recently been viewed as the most highly secured sectors of Eve. Merchant vessels and corporate military patrols alike are heard pleading briefly for all assistance before being cut short by the telltale static of electronic jamming – these unfortunate vessels are usually never found or heard from again. The attention of corporate defence forces, usually focused squarely on the pirate-infested outer fringes of civilization, is now turning to this new and little-known threat in the very heart of the known galaxy. Believed to utilize coordinated swarm tactics and advanced electronic warfare weaponry, as well as considerable external funding, these bold marauders seem to have somehow circumvented the Concord security measures set in place to protect the citizens of the four empires – whether by bribery or corruption, it is unclear how these cutthroats manage to pass undetected. All that is certain is that the daily death toll from their attacks is mounting, and to date no one has stood toe-to-toe with this cruel and elusive criminal group known only as the “Black Monkeys”. Corporate officials have not yet been available to comment on this new and growing threat to intergalactic safety.

John Saxton was born in Manchester in 1776. He was initially a worker in the cotton industry but in 1818 helped James Wroe and Joseph Johnson to start the radical newspaper, the Manchester Observer . Within twelve months the Manchester Observer was selling 4,000 copies a week. Although it started as a local paper by 1819 it was sold in most of the large towns and cities in Britain. Henry Hunt called the Manchester Observer "the only newspaper in England that I know, fairly and honestly devoted to such reform as would give the people their whole rights."
John Saxton and his wife Susanna were both active in the campaign for universal suffrage. Susanna Saxton was secretary of the

John Tyas joined The Times as a reporter in 1817. In August, 1819, Thomas Barnes , the editor of The Times , decided to send Tyas to cover the parliamentary reform meeting at St. Peter's Field . Tyas was chosen because according to Barnes he "was nephew to an individual of great respectability in the town of Manchester "
Whereas the other journalists that covered the St. Peter's Field meeting worked for local newspapers, Tyas was based in London The Times had been critical of the parliamentary reform movement and there is no evidence that Tyas was a radical sympathizer before the Peterloo Massacre . Tyas and the other journalists at the meeting were positioned on the platform with the speakers. As a result, Tyas was arrested with

Thomas Spence was born in Newcastle in 1750. Spence became a schoolmaster and he gradually developed radical political views and in the 1770s began to argue that all land should be nationalised. Spence was strongly influenced by the writings of Tom Paine . In Newcastle he sold Paine's work on the street as well as pamphlets that he had written.
In December 1792 Spence moved to London and attempted to make a living my selling Tom Paine's Rights of Man on street corners. He was arrested but soon after he was released from prison he opened a shop in Chancery Lane where he sold radical books and pamphlets. In 1793 he started a periodical, Pig's Meat but in May 1794 he was arrested and imprisoned and because Habeas Corpus had been suspended, the authorities were able to hold him without trial until December 1794.
