I like it because it is very readable, easy to build upon good libraries, and the typical technological reasons. Basically I am able to take programs like Miron Brezuleanu's eSwirl and his EXG toolkit and get a nice program working quickly. To me it is a language that takes the work of the best 10% of programmers and makes it so you can build upon that work and get things running correctly. After a two-year hiatus, the Class Struggle returns, with the largest cash prizes in the history of the competition! The top prize is $1,400 US. Other cash prizes are available, along with thousands of dollars worth of software. All submitted applications or libraries must be written in Eiffel, and the source must be released for public use.
