In the fall, there are junior and senior drama clubs involving students in drama exercises and improv, leading to performances for assemblies. After the holidays, all students are invited to participate in the school musical that performs in early May. Students are involved in the drama, music, set development, costumes, makeup, and technical aspects of the presentation. Past productions have included, Charlotte's Web, Pinocchio, the Lion King, Peter Pan, and Robin Hood. In November of 2001, the Maplecrest Academy Players launched a brand new event in the school calendar - a Dinner Theatre style student production of "Arsenic and Old Lace". Over two evenings, the students served 125 hot, sit-down meals and then treated the assembled audience to a wonderful performance.
