Apprenticeship program
Tuesday at 9:30 PM Eastern Time starting later this summer
Apply early to insure your space.
I am now taking applications for people who would like to apprentice with me. The apprenticeship program is an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a supportive, loving community - one that will assist you as you let go of your old limitations and allow the beautiful, free, and limitless being you already are to unfold. For a long time, I have wanted to reach out to people who don’t live here in Hawaii in a meaningful, intimate, and on going manner. For the past several years, I have been conducting an apprenticeship program via phone lines and the Internet. The results have been incredible! Later this summer I will be starting a new program. I had the good fortune to study with Sister Sarita and Don Miguel Ruiz when Miguel himself was still a student. I was able to watch his personal transformation as my own began to unfold. The gifts I received from my years of intensive study are immense. I now have the privilege of passing the gifts on through my teaching. The wisdom and love continues to deepen daily. When I completed my apprenticeship, Don Miguel performed a ceremony for me and told me to go and teach in my own way. I have been doing that for the past 15 years.

Subject:  War Against Terrorists at Congress
I received this urgent message and it makes a lot of sense. I am convinced that the impeachment of Chief Justice Davide initiated by Congress is immoral and endangers the stability of our democratic institutions.
I signed up the petition at the website http://www.elagda.com . You might want to do the same. It's a small contribution in preserving the stability of our country.

My fellow e-Mandirigmas,
Three years ago today, we worked together, through the Internet, for the ouster of a leader known for his corrupt and immoral ways. Today, we are being called anew... this time, to defend a leader known for his integrity and to preserve the institution he represents. A group of congressmen who would make us believe that out of a deep sense of duty

Insightful, provocative, and above all else, practical. Youth Theatre Journal
Teachers face enormous problems trying to motivate students who don't like to read. In this book, Nancy King shows how storymaking and drama are powerful ways to engage students as they read novels, plays, poetry, and autobiography, and how both students and teachers benefit from educational opportunities based on dialogue rather than lecture. In Storymaking and Drama teachers will find thoughtful, practical, inventive, and creative ways to explore literature and drama in the classroom. The author has included many stories from around the world to make the book a joy to read and to help stimulate the development of new ideas for classroom educational practice.

The Stanford Improvisors
Origin....
The Stanford Improvisors were founded in the spring of 1991 by Patricia Ryan, Sr. Lecturer in the Department of Drama, Stanford University. Her purpose in founding this group was to provide guidance and a curricular structure for a select group of students who had shown promise and aptitude in the study of improvisation. To this end the Stanford Improvisors (the SImps) were chosen to train and perform improvisational games and theatrical forms, especially those techniques developed by Keith Johnstone of the University of Calgary.
Theatresports™ was developed by Keith Johnstone as a way both to train improvisors and to increase audience participation. Theatresports™ borrows from the excitement of athletic contests by having two teams of improvisors square off in head-to-head competition. Their scenes are scored either by judges or by the audience members themselves. An M.C. is also present to help guide the action. Judges and M.C.s are charged with the duty of helping the players create the best possible scenes and minimize bad scenes. Possible tools that can be used to help in this effort include "the horn" (to end boring scenes) and "the bag" (for offensive material). this description by BATS (Bay Area Theatresports).
