Minority Ethnic Community Organisations in Enfield
This web page is intended to be a quick reference of up to date information on minority ethnic community organisations active in Enfield. The listing is not a complete record of all the groups in the borough, as not all the organisations contacted responded. We would, however, be happy to hear from any groups not mentioned in this publication, who would like to be included in any future editions. Each entry contains a short paragraph provided by the organisation describing its aims, interests and services, as well as contact names, addresses and telephone numbers. Anyone trying to contact these organisations should remember that many of them are run by volunteers who may not be available during working hours. However, we hope that this publication will be a useful tool in improving communication.

Sumita Choudhury is the Ethnic Communities Librarian for the Enfield Library Service. Her responsibility is to promote and develop the library services for all ethnic communities in the borough. Sumita can be contacted at: Palmers Green Library, Broomfield Lane, Palmers Green, London N13 4EY

There are over 115 registered student clubs and organizations at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. They are structured groups that give students the opportunity to explore themselves in depth and to achieve greater self-understanding and a positive understanding of others. Student clubs and organizations develop and offer services, social projects, and activities (such as speakers, entertainers, films, and luncheons) for the enrichment of the student body and overall campus community. All information contained in the database is updated from SAO records as of May 12, 2004. Club and Organization Directory
What are the Big Seven?
The Big Seven are the University of Michigan-Dearborn's major organizations. These organizations are a distinct group and serve a very important role on UM-D's campus. All seven are funded annually through the Student Activities Office by student fee allocations and have designated advisors and office space on campus. Because of these distinctions, they are highly evolved organizations that provide invaluable services back to the campus community, as well as unique leadership growth experiences for their leaders and members. They contribute to the many long-standing traditions on campus and understandably face a higher expectation of success due to their campus wide responsibilities and importance.
They include:
