Hope so, cause I have pictures for you. :) Here's the sock before I started the heel flap. I love how it looks with the stripes and all - I'm going to wear these socks everywhere once I've finished them. Read more... or Ooh, a heel flap. This isn't the best picture ever, but you can see my big accomplishment of the night: I turned the heel! Hooray! I am so proud of this it's ridiculous. My bird has a thing for my wooden DPNs and won't leave me alone when I'm trying to knit this sock. Isn't he adorable, though? :) 1 Comment Filed under: Socks KC Excuse my huge white foot! Now, it actually looks somewhat decent in this photo, but you can kind of see how the cuff is way huge. I think that was my main problem. I'm always afraid things will turn out too small, so I make them too big! The heel is too big (you can see how weird it looks here ), and I really don't like the way I did it. I think I will rip this out (when I get in a destructive mood ;) ) and try a different heel. I used the easiest one from Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitting Without Tears I am bound and determined to get socks right... but I think I need major tutoring on gauge and heels!
