No. 176: Stalking: policing and prosecuting practices in three Australian jurisdictions Emma Ogilvie ISBN 642 24202 X ; ISSN 0817-8542 November 2000
Abstract
Stalking trends as indicated by police and court data across Victoria, South Australia and Queensland are examined. As legislation and enforcement practices vary significantly across these jurisdictions, direct comparisons are not possible. Ogilvie outlines specific considerations that need to be taken into account with respect to both criminal justice system interventions and future research priorities, including: addressing weaknesses in the legislation; provision of training for police units; the necessity of sustained intervention; devising effective research agendas; and investigating community awareness.

This Services Agreement will terminate on March 31, 2004 and Atomic Dog will no longer supply desk copies, process orders, returns, or manage customer accounts for CPC titles. Please be advised that beginning April 1, 2004, all purchases of CPC titles, all associated inquiries and communications must be sent directly to:

Florida State University’s Distance Learning Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida State University is proud to offer a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Studies through the University’s distance learning program. The master’s program in criminal justice studies is specifically designed for working criminal justice professionals and others who want the rigor and challenge of a first-rate graduate program, but also need the convenience and flexibility that distance learning provides. Quality and Flexibility
Unlike some other distance learning course offerings, the School’s master’s degree in Criminal Justice Studies is a fully integrated part of our larger graduate program, which is consistently ranked among the top programs in criminology and criminal justice in the United States. Our distance learning courses are taught by the same people—mainly regular faculty—who teach in our on-campus graduate and undergraduate programs. When you enroll in the master’s program in criminal justice studies, you will be working with faculty who are leading scholars in their fields.
State-of-the art technology supported by the facilities of one of the most technologically advanced universities in the nation enables students and faculty to interact much as they would in a regular campus classroom—but from anywhere in the world, and on a flexible schedule that allows students to tailor their class participation to the demands of their own jobs and families. A comprehensive support system guides students through every phase of the program.

This page compiles links to sites dealing with criminal justice; corrections and life inside a prison; restorative justice; crime prevention; victims of crime; juvenile delinquency; and law enforcement. I have also included government and media sites that you may want to look at as well. Links to grad programmes in criminology at Canadian Universities can also be accessed from this page. There are no full text docs on this page - only links to sites related to criminal justice and criminology issues in some way. At the bottom of this page, there are some links to up-coming conferences and congresses that might be of interest. The focus is on Canadian sites, but I have included other sites in cases where I couldn't find enough links to Canadian sources. I will not be able to update these pages for the next little while as I am about to lose net access. Once that is restored, I will begin updating again and I will also re-activate an email link for suggestions, comments, etc. Click on any of the following for a list of links on that topic.
