The New Castle County Vocational Technical School District sponsors a Summer Career Camp for 6th and 7th grade students who are interested in exploring careers through fun, hands-on learning activities. The 4-day sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Bus transportation is provided for all campers. Session for 6th grade students is hosted by Hodgson Vo-Tech High School near Glasgow. Updated Every Thursday POSTED JUNE 26, 2003 Mark Of Eden Owner Opens Cosmetology School In Fall First Opened In NC In 16 Years By Fawn Roark The Mark of Eden Institute of Cosmetology and Related Arts will be opening at Family Central this fall and will be teaching cosmetology, nail technician and other related skills to students. The Institute will be located in the old Ashe Central High School band room building at Family Central and after renovations are complete, there will be a reception area complete with the rooms for all the class studies and salon activities to take place in. Full time students can earn their degree for cosmetology in nine months and earn their license in nail technology in eight weeks. Lewis hopes to add massage therapy and esthetician classes during the second semester. The school can house 72 full time students and 16 dual enrollment students from the high school.
