Feathered Pals
Our birds are all housed in an indoor aviary with controlled temperature and equal amounts of daylight as well as moonlight. Soft music or "Sounds of the 80's" is played for them during the waking hours. All our feathered pals are fed a pellet diet with fresh fruit and/or veggies 3 times a week. Virtually no seed enters our birds diet due to the high fat content and the lack of protein and vitamins found in this type of diet. An overweight, malnutritioned bird, is not a happy bird.
We consider ourselves lucky to be able to work with these guys and offer to you, the best pet and new addition to your family possible.

By TIMOTHY HENDERSON
Many, really too many, wild-caught conures are still being imported. Wholesalers routinely stock hundreds of Nandays, Mitred, Cherry-Head, Blue-Front, Maroon-Bellied, and several other species of conures. Unfortunately most `bronco' conures are purchased, because of the cheap price, by people looking for a pet. This is a terrible mistake on the part of both the pet buyer and the merchant. A wild-caught conure can not be expected to become tame and friendly. Conures are among the loudest of all parrots. Though macaws and cockatoos yell with higher volume, conures are the most persistent screamers. You must be prepared for a conure to squawk all day long. After several months of a bird that only hollers and bites, the novice parrot owner will often dump the bird. If the wild conure is kept, since it is deprived of the company of its own kind, the bird will probably start to pluck its own feathers. For the same price as a wild conure, a tame, hand-reared cockatiel may be acquired. Most shop owners now realize that this is the better bargain all round. A tame cockatiel makes a loving pet that will be cherished. With a good initial experience in birds, people soon want other, more exotic, tame parrots. Buying a wild parrot as a pet is a mistake. You are cruelly keeping a social bird in solitary confinement and you are throwing your money away.

We also accept birds that need to be rehabilitated, or socialized or just retired. We have re-homed many birds in the last 12 years, very successfully. We are ready to "branch out" and offer some of our available birds for adoption on the web.

is BellaOnline's Birds Host Conures Conures are native to most of South and Central America.
In general, they are part of a large group of parrots that range from small species of 8.5 inches in length (about the size of some of the parakeets) to 19 inches (larger than some of the smaller macaws) with most of them being in the 12 to 13 inch range.
They can be very colourful birds, in both appearance and personality. These birds have a never-ending source of energy. They are fun to watch because of their vibrant colours and acrobatic natures. They are pleasant and peaceful birds. Unfortunately, the voice of many Conures is not always pleasant – often consisting of bouts of loud screaming. Although not known for their talking abilities, many can develop good vocabularies, especially if handfed.
Green Cheek Conures, like my Griffin pictured here are among the smaller conures that are fairly common as pets. They are generally very quiet and even their speaking voice is almost a whisper.

GREESON'S BABY PARROTS
Updated:
March 11, 2004
Don and I have been breeding birds since 1980. As you can see, I have been a bird lover for a really long time. This picture was taken in 1953! We work hard to do things right and consider it a labor of love since we enjoy them so much. We started exhibiting at bird shows in 1984..took seven out of ten on the top bench, including Best in Show, at that first show, and don't you know we were hooked.
We took many years to accumulate our breeding stock, selecting only the very best of each species. As a result our babies are of excellent quality. We never breed two birds just to produce more.. the goal is always to improve on their beauty and confirmation. I serve the hobby as an American Cockatiel Society Panel Judge. We breed many species of exotics including African Greys, Conures, Pionus, Cockatoos, Macaws, Quakers, Ringnecks and Amazons. Please check out our baby birds for sale. .you may find we have just the bird you are looking for. This list is updated frequently.
Over the years I have published ten different booklets on birds.

I said it before, and I'll say it again.I do not know anyone
who has been successful at permanently stopping birds
from eating their eggs.I think I advised you before, make sure
the birds have plenty of calcium, that their cage is not in a
high-traffic area with animals or alot of people around.(I am
the ONLY person that goes around my birds when they are breeding.) You may just not be able to breed that pair,or you may need to pull their eggs and foster them out or incubate them. Posts on this thread, including this one
