Libraries
The departmental Library , which contains books and journals covering the whole field of computation including numerical analysis, is located on level 2 of the Wolfson Building , with an adjoining reading room. It regularly receives reports from other computing science departments, numerical analysis groups and research institutes working in computational fluid dynamics - both in this country and abroad. Further books and journals on various branches of mathematics can be found in the Whitehead Library in the nearby Mathematical Institute A much larger collection of books, including all scientific books published in the United Kingdom and many of those published abroad, is held in the Radcliffe Science Library (on the corner of Parks Road and South Parks Road, within easy walking distance), which forms part of the Bodleian Library. The above are all intended as research libraries; undergraduates would normally use college library facilities. Please contact the Departmental Librarian for further information about the library facilities.

About the Library University of New Hampshire Library , it serves the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences and related UNH departments and research units, as well as others from the community with research and educational needs in the areas of computer science, mathematics (not math education) and statistics, and chemical, civil, mechanical, and electrical and computer engineering. The on-site collection includes approximately 26,000 books, 890 current periodical subscriptions, and thousands of bound journal volumes. Web-accessible and CD-ROM databases are available, while course reserve material for many Computer Science, Engineering and Mathematics classes is located here. Library (computer science)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
In computer science , a library is a collection of subprograms used to develop software . Libraries are distinguished from executables in that they are not independent programs ; rather, they are "helper" code that provides services to some other independent program. Well-known libraries include: Library linking describes the inclusion of one or more of these software libraries into a new program. There are multiple types of linking: static linking and dynamic linking. These are described below. Table of contents 1 Static Linking

Static Linking
Static linking is linking in which a library is embedded into the program executable at compile time by a linker . A linker is a separate utility which takes one or more libraries and object files (which are previously generated by a compiler or an assembler) and produces an actual executable file One of the biggest disadvantages of static linking is that the resulting executable file becomes larger and therefore consumes a larger amount of system resources and takes longer to load into memory.
