I wanted to do something to commemorate the day so I created this installation on the campus where I teach. Each of the yellow flags have "Columbus" and "Colonize" printed on them. The red flags have 'survive' and "live" printed on them. I created this work completely annonomously. I wanted people to "discover" the artwork and make their own conclusions about its' meaning. The flags are formed into a medicine wheel design. I thought the shadows worked nicely.
